It’s an exciting time for Electrical Engineering as the world uses electricity to automate and power more and more things. At UC Merced we are excited to have started a new B.S. Electrical Engineering (EE) program, with our first cohort of students starting in fall 2023 and graduating in spring 2027. In fall 2025, we are offering our first upper-division courses where students begin a deep dive into EE topics. To share the work of some of our students and to provide a welcoming way to share what’s happening in the world of EE, we have started this blog. Our first postings will come from an assignment about how semiconductor devices have changed our world.
