Peter Langner

Peter Langner a Senior Engineering Director and the Electrical Engineering Department head for Lam Research’s Etch product lines. Peter has been working at Lam Research for 14 years in Etch Engineering. Prior to his time at Lam Research Peter has been working in Silicon Valley for small startups (SmartMachines, Symmorphix) as well large organizations (Applied Materials, Novellus Systems). Peter moved to the US to pursue his Masters in Physics at Oregon State University. During his time in Oregon he co-founded a start-up company in the Vision-Impaired assistive technologies space, based on his invention of a novel Braille and graphics printer. He received a Collegiate Inventors Competition Award from the Inventors Hall of Fame for his invention. Peter's outside work interests include general fitness, road biking, skiing, SCUBA diving, 3D printing, building concrete structures and other construction projects around the house. Peter received his Bachelors in Applied Physics from FH Ravensburg, Germany and M.S. in Physics from Oregon State University.
